Started new project tonight...

I have a pre-lci E90. I had to remove the front bumper tonight to fix a minor problem with newly installed Depo P90's. I figured it was a perfect opportunity to do a project I have been planning in my head for a while.

I am now in the process of deleting the finishing rods from the stock bumper. If you just simply remove the finishing rods you are left with the fugly mounting brackets that are part of the grill insert exposed. This project will hopefuully resolve that and give a clean OEM look with the finishing rods deleted.

More to come over the weekend!

*** UPDATE ***

Project finished and DIY posted. Here is the link and a few pics.

Are you painting them the same color as the plastic mesh behind them. If so they might just blend in. I only painted my center one black.

No. Mine were painted black but they still bothered me. I am deleting them completely.

Nice, I can't wait to see the finished results. I'd like to delete my finishing rods to give it the Mtec look

Where can i can i get a new front lower grille mesh. I bought a front lower grille for my car because I had to replace the entire bumper but when I tried to install the new grille it was to big so I don't know if I should order another because I'm afraid it might be the same
