I would start with 7% off MSRP and go from there. You can also consider MSD to bring the financing cost down. Good luck.
PS: Heated steering wheel is really nice. I have been using mine in the last couple days.

How much did you get yours for? Lease or finance?

aim for $645 + taxes would be pretty good.

I have factored in the 7.5% discount + $2000 factory option credit going now (expiring end of Jan 2013)

sounds like the dealer is selling at cost, if that's the number.

OP, are you sure all your # are right ?

BMW.ca website says the residual after 48 mos is 50% which is $25,725 based on the options you have listed.

Therefore, I cannot tell which # is right.

You really have to do the correct way ... simply ask for 7.5% off the total list price + the current factory incentive and everything will calcuate accordingly.

Hey sorry, it's my friend whose providing. The sales guy just wrote out the basics to him so he wasn't clear on the residual. I'll check with him and let him know how to calculate. I honestly have no idea how this works even when I tried for my own car lol.

Scary isn't it? These cars are getting ridiculously expensive....
Imagine the coupe/convertible or even go up a notch to 335i - several hundred dollar jump each time you move up a model or coupe/convertible.

Quite frankly I want to see how these cars hold up over the years and if we can get some better deals on them - I'd like an F33 335is if it won't cost me more than $700/month financed after coming off a 3-4yr lease used

I don't understand why you can't bring new lease of finance cars from the US. I see all these nice lease deals that people got in the pricing/deals thread and it just makes me sad how I could have bought/leased a 335 for the same payments as that of my now 328!

US is 10x the market of Cda. We are just 1 tiny little dot on BMW's global sales.

673*48=(32,304)+(5,000)+(21,000+taxes) = over $60,000.

Short version: it's too much

Long version: I have an Excel sheet that computes the yearly cost of ownership. I usually aim for sub-$7000 per year. The numbers you have provide come out to ~9300/ year.
I almost got a lease on a F30 328 that would have come to 7050 / year, but the dealer didn't take it in the end; that said, had I have given 3000 extra (-> 7800 /year) I think they would have taken it.
For comparison, my E90 CPO, which I aim to keep for 7 years in total), comes out to 5700/year (estimating 7000 in repairs during 3 years out of warranty).

You friend would be paying 37000 over 4 years, which I think is simply too much (I don't think the vehicle will depreciate that much). That's basically what I paid for my '09 328 1 year ago (with extended warranty for 4 years); so, after 4 years, your friend would have to give back the car, while I would have a 6 years old car in my name (worth ~18000).

Hi - hope this isn't too late. I just got a 328i xdrive, modern line, with premium package and heated stearing wheel, so the same features as yours (modern and luxury are the same price). Also in Toronto.

Added to the base cost were the interior leather and fabric treatment/insurance (because the car is oyster leather and light everything else I have small children) and I paid $500 out of pocket to have the car shipped from Montreal because there were none matching this spec in Mineral Grey in Ontario except for a demo car in Ottawa.

With all of this, for the low mileage option (16k km/year) I am paying $688/month, tax-in, with a "down payment" around $1600 or $1700 or so (consisting of security deposit, first month's payment, and some incidentals - $200 towards the shipping, plates, etc.).

I think that without the $800 of extra costs in the lease for shipping and the care package I would have ended up in the $665-$670 range, tax in, so that is the number I would shoot for if I were you, but without the $5k down payment.

I could give you details an who I got the deal from (in Toronto), and I would be happy to email him for you to put the two of you together and try to get you the benefit of my negotiations (which I also got for my father in law, who leased one on the same terms a week later - he didn't have the extra care or shipping costs and he got the same terms, but also had a trade in so his number isn't as helpful for you).

Best

Aim for around 8% off MSRP and you got yourself a decent deal.

Monthly payments mean jack...you want to get the discount off the car.

Agree, though if the residdual and interest rate are fixed (as they are here), it makes little difference.
