Steering Wheel Volume Control - Not Working
So I installed the VRSF 7" FMIC this weekend, went to hit volume down/channel down to access my JB4 and change maps, turns out my volume down button doesn't work . I found the part to replace the switches Part #61316959894 But I was just curious if you guys have any other suggestions to try before I purchase it? Or if this might be covered by CPO? oh and also is anyone aware of a DIY Tutorial for replacing this or taking the steering wheel apart? Thanks!

If it's under CPO take it back to dealer and have them fix it.

Did your volume down button work before installing the JB4? If so, remove JB4 and re-test. If it works again, replacing the module probably won't make a difference.

I'm not sure if CPO will cover it, but I guess I can call and ask.
Quote:
Yes and No, I'm pretty sure I voided my warranty for anything drive train, but I'm 99% sure the dealer has to prove my mods caused the object to break, which in this case FMIC/DCI/JB4 im pretty sure have nothing to do with a switch on my steering wheel. My only concern is that cpo doesnt cover it to begin with. Quote:
I'm not sure either, I guess I will have to call. |

Yes and no. the dealer wouldn't cover it. I found the parts on real-oem here is a link the part number would depend on what features you have. and here also this one are they DIY's I was planning on using. Haven't gotten around to it yet though.
