difference between 335i and 335xi

so i came across a very interesting finding today.

the 335i reaches 0-60 in 5.3 but the 335xi reaches in 5.2 whereas its the opposite for a 328. the x is slower than the RWD.

i usually thought it would be the other way round for the 335...any technicians out there who might be able to explain this difference?

Well, for starters regarding the 335i/xi, the xi will offer the better launch because it has more traction. Launches are important in a test such as 0-60.

the 328i is quicker because the engine has less power and does not over whelm the rear wheels and the 328xi is just to much rotating mass for that engine where as the 335i will just blister the tires and the xi provides the proper amount of grip to allow all that power to make it to the ground correctly make sence?? the 328 just gets bogged down if you will!!

Its amazing to me as to why this is so important to people. its .1 SECONDS not 1 or 2 seconds. Its a drivers race PERIOD. This is also the 50th post asking the same question.

To anser the above question as to what is difference between a 335i and 335xi is that the 335i is RWD and the 335xi is AWD.

well actually i never asked for that difference (as u can see from my first post). im not extremely knowledgeable on the technical side so was wondering how the AWD performance stats differed from the RWD; not that the .1 sec makes any difference...just for the sake of gaining knowledge. but thanks anyway...
