2009 vs 2008 BMW 3 series convertible

Hi all,

I am new to BMWs. I have been looking around and I see both 2009 and 2008 for the BMW 3 series convertible.

Does anyone have a list of the differences? I looked at them and really couldn't tell. The dealer is obviously pushing to 2008 and wasn't helpful in listing the differences.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

The iDrive is hard drive based.

It's an 80gb hard drive with 18gb or so, dedicated to music storage.
You can also play DVD's with the e-brake up.

iDrive has new buttons which makes it a lot easier to get around and the screen is wider and clearer.
Go to the dealer and check it out yourself to see the real difference.

Fluterring noise delete?
Leaking car in heavy rain/carwash delete?
Clanking noise from front windows delete?

Take a look at the youtube video in this thread:

OP - you should look at the e93 threads before you make your decision.

I have none of those.

You can always find complaints and problems about any product, the difficult part is deciding if they are statistically meaningful.

BTW, with any vert you have to accept that at certain temps and humidity there will be squeaks or rattles, these should not be constant, they will come and go.

+1. I have none either with 20k miles. The only one I've had a couple times is the fluttering, but I've had that on every car I've owned. It was so unremarkable that I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't read about it.

I've owned 3 other convertables and this one is by far the quietest and slickest. It is more quiet than most of the hardtop car's I've owned. Loudest thing on the car is the run flats, which will be gone in 10k or so more miles.
