Where to go for remap?

My 330d is now run-in and i am considering the options regarding a re-map. I would like some sort of warranty and DMS seems the obvious choice, however i was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Hartge remap supplied by 'Birds'. I am especially interested to hear from anyone with experience of these products on a manual 330d and i am a little concerned for the clutch/gearbox. Any opinions greatly appreciated!

I´m going to remap mine as well, and I´ve settled for Kempower in Belgium. They take the 330d to 285hp and 610Nm for € 800.00 I think it is (http://www.kempower.be/).
And here´s another thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...dle+torque+box

cant find on CA's site what power and torque levels they acheive from a 335d??

DMS seem the wiser choice as they cover the warranty!!

but list only 335bhp? im sure peppernick said his was 350bhp!!

still 35bhp is good enough for a mid to high 12 over the quarter considering stock 335i with 300bhp do low 13's!!

I used a N.I. agent for E-Maps, which I think is linked with CA-Automotive (correct me if I'm wrong).
I got a very professional service and the car is now a flyer - without loosing any of the smoothness

On the main CA Automotive site you can navigate to the following link:

http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/produ...id=5&comp_id=8

At the bottom of the page the following link gives you the stats.

traction control is a 'life saver' but dont half get in the way when its slightly damp and your trying to make a rapid.....

Have spoken to DMS who said they peg the torque back a little for the manual 330d in order to preserve the clutch / gearbox. Torque up 20NM less than auto but Power the same at 275 odd. Has given me a little more confidence that they have considered mechanical issues and not simply gone for maximum gain. Still can't seem to find any reviews on Hartge 330d.

The auto can take 850Nm (!), but the manual is substantially less. I can understand your hesitancy, but don't worry - they won't 'wreck your baby'. I had my 330d done almost a year ago and - touch wood - have had absolutely no issues of any sort, except the drop in fuel consumption from 36 to 42mpg

About 98% long journeys and I tend to drive using the torque rather than the hp (if that makes any sense). I have a Fiat Panda 4x4 for city driving and a Renault Espace to haul the kids around. So yes, I suppose the 330d does have a cushy life

I didn't want to start a new thread, and this one seems the most appropriate.

Simon and Roy from CA Automotive sorted me out on Friday with a re-map, and wow, Steve's right, the performance is now awesome. To give you some idea, the traction control light flickers pretty much all the way to 70mph (I would never go faster than that, officer) even on a completely dry road on a sunny day. The car was fast before, but it's in a different league now.

I'm seriously wondering if I'm going to need to upgrade my tyres (possibly wheels and tyres) to handle the extra grunt. I'm still on the factory OEM runflats - rears are 255/35 R18 on 8.5J x 18. I'm thinking of upgrading to PS2s on the current wheels or upgrading to 9J or even 9.5J rear. Maybe that's worth a new thread - I need to do some searching first...
