Anyone with tsw nurburgring wheels facing a steering vibration issue?
I've got my tsw's nurburgring installed like a month ago. Getting a steering vibration at around 40-60 mph. Got it road forced balanced twice and allignment done at the dealership twice as well. Problem still persist. Any insights? Customer service for tsw do not exist at all. I made a wrong choice by going with tsw's.

Did the shop also check if the wheels are hub centric to your car? The wheels not being hub centric could also be an issue and the vibration issue can be solved with hub rings.

All my friends who ever owned TSW wheels always needed hub centric rings to get their wheels to fit right. Theses range in cars from Acura, BMW, Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Chevy...etc. |

335i vert. Same rims, same problem. Discount balanced them 2x, PTP 1x and did an alignment with no luck. Dealer said the hubcenric ring was too small and there was still a 2mm gap. Getting proper rings put on and then we'll see. PTP will take care if it...I hope!
My bigger problem has been Discount and the Dealer scratching up the rims. 4 have been replaced(at their cost) and two repaired. Yes...I have a plastic covered socket...so does Discount....now. |

My wheel sockets got scratched up after mounting and dismounting a million times. Couldn't be screwed anymore. Will just have to live with it. Worst buy ever!

The wheels road forced out perfectly? Did they check if the wheel was out of round or if the tire had a heavy spot?

Rings helped a bit but didn't solve the problem. Control arm bushings seem to be loose and are leaking (grease and oil visible). Back to the dealer to get those fixed and see if that helps.
Maybe I am just picky but I expect a flawless ride like on my old OEM wheels. |

I just installed some 19x8 235 and 19.9.5 265 Nurburgrings with Hankook V12's on my E92 last night. Making a small 120 mile road trip today, so I'll chime in if I get any vibrations as well. My wheels came with hub rings and they made the wheels fit very snugly, so we'll see...

Vibration, best described as steering wheel chatter at between 40-60 mph. The entire car has a vibration around 85 mph as well.
Mine originally came with rings and and tried new rings as well. Still no resolution. if it's not the bushings, then I need to check to see if I got a bad rum or tire. |

Does anyone know I'd having the weights on the inside of the wheel only makes a difference? Discount did outside. PTP put them all on the inside. The dealer said all the weights should not be on the inside.
They are force balancing the front tires. They can't do the back because the wheel offset is to much. They are also changing the control arms and bushings. They will also put on and try OEM wheels and isolate the problem. Stay tuned. |

18x8 18x9.5 225 and 255. I switched out the tires under warranty and it's slightly better. Came to a point where I'm just saying screw it and live with it. Let me know what your outcome is dough18

Same setup as for me.
255 is on the small side for the 9.5 wheel. Dealer is checking to see if the back are the wrong size, amongst everything else. It sounds like they are checking everything, including putting another set of tires/wheels (Oem) on the car to confirm it is the wheels. I will report back next week. |
