Throttle unresponsive, Engine acting crazy.

I am getting all sorts of errors and I'd like some help.

First I was getting 2CF7 AND 2CF6 Throttle valve potentiomenter. RPM at ide were rapidly changing 800-1100 rpm at idle.

I removed JB4 and Now I get

2CFB:
2CFB Throttle valve adaptation value
Error will cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have not been completed
Short circuit or signal interruption

2D09:
2D09 butterfly valve
Error will cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have not been completed
Timeout

Did I mess something up when I removed JB4? The throttle is completly unresponsive now.

(I have no other engine/drive train mods)

Solution below in the thread.

Is the 30 amp in the glove box or in the box with the DME?

Mine was in the glove box. However, some models have the additional fuses in the ecu area. To the right of the dme is a small black box...this was the actual relay on my car. Others have a box of five or so additional fuses. I had those exact codes and problems before I replaced the fuse.

Okay thanks. I have an 06 build e92. I'm assuming our cars are similar. I looked at a few fuses and they looked fine but i'm sure there are more. The ECU area there is 1 red fuse that I remember seeing. I hope that isn't blown as I have already buttoned up the car.

So you replaced a standard size fuse in the glove box correct? Not a black relay?

Yeah standard 30 amp fuse in glovebox was my fix. However, check the black box in the ecu area. It's small and sits just to the right of the dme. That box will either contain more fuses or the actual relay. That red fuse that you speak of is fine and not the issue. How are you determining which fuses to check?

I have no idea which fuse to check so I checked all of the 20, 30 and 40 amp fuses. All looked in fine shape

Just so a throttle adaptation reset followed by a dme reset. That should fix it.

Interesting. Can this be done without a diagnostic tool? Such as the older Bosch 41/42 DMEs you would turn the ignition on, press the throttle all the way down, release, then wait a few seconds before restarting. Or something like that...

Additional update:
I contacted Terry and sent my JB4 to him. My PnP harness was one of the original JB3 handmade harnesses, it was probably the cause. Terry swapped my PnP harness for a new machine made harness (at below cost) and I'm back to driving with a smile on my face.

My car threw that code tonight right after I installed my Kittyless DP's. I ended up disconnecting my battery for some time and problem was gone. Also my JB4 is only a few months old and the DP's are from a reputable company just in case somebody wants to use the Chinese garbage theory.

I may have answer to this SHITTY problem that no one seems to know or speak about! If you are getting these codes, check your chargepipe connection to the actual throttle body. If it becomes loose, you will throw these codes. If it becomes really loose, there could be a chance of the o-ring in the charge pipe getting sucked into your throttle body. If you restart the car after resetting throttle adaption and it is gone, it probably could be a boost leak. But if you keep starting the car and it is not starting up normally after the reset, take off the charge pipe and check in the butterfly of the throttle body, chances are your o-ring may have got sucked into there and is messing with the butterfly valve. The main thing to check is for a secure connection with the charge pipe and throttle body.
