Cobb stage 2+

Hey guys. I was just curious. I have down pipes, intake, but stock intercooler. I was thinking of trying stage2+.
Would it be a bad idea unless I get aftermarket intercooler?

Cobb recommends an aftermarket intercooler with Stage 2+, stick with Stage 2 mapping with the stock intercooler. The stock intercooler will heatsoak and the DME will pull the additional timing that Stage 2+ allows for. So, it's a bad idea in the sense that you won't be able to take advantage of the + maps until you install an aftermarket intercooler.

Indeed. It was just a thought. Is there a huge difference between stage 2 agressive and stage 2+ agressive?

From what I remember trying out regular Stage 2 to 2+, it was pretty substantial difference between the two.

I doubt any regular Stage 2 aggressive will come close to that on pump 93 octane.

4037 is my Cobb Stage 2+, catless downpipes and fmic on 93 octane and RFT's.

Huge difference from Stg2 to Stg2+, Stg1+ already targets more aggressively than “normal” Stg2. And like others have said, not the best idea to run that mapping without the appropriate mods, you probably won’t grenade anything, but the DME is going to pull timing like crazy.
