2008 E93 Rear Cup Holder Removal

I'm a noob and I'm sure I'll get razzed for this in some way, but I have a 2008 E93 and the rear cup holder is badly scratched. I would like to remove the cup holder and wrap in vinyl. I have searched already and couldn't find a clear answer on how to remove it. Does anyone know how to get it out?
