I am wavering here - someone sell this to me and I am there...

It sounds fantastic, but I dont wanna be left standing around like a tool etc.

Why would you be stood around like a tool??? If you mean you are anxious that there will be much faster cars and drivers there with more experience - then yes, there may well be - but who cares?? You just do your own thing. Events like these are very well organised and only generally attract like minded people - therefore everyone will show each other respect and courtesy. You wont get some lunatic humping round flat out pushing people off the track because it wont be accepted or allowed. They will follow very strict rules and trust me you wont be the only newbie there, there will be lots of newbies equally anxious and nervous. No one will want to trash their cars - everyone will be there to look out and after each other. Best thing for you and any other newbies will be the controlled environment and the access to free tuition. I am far from being a track expert - ive only done 2 track days before in UK and 2 Ring trips - so i will also make use of the tuition on the day too. Just come along and have a good time - you will learn SO much about your cars handling abilities and without doubt you will improve your driving techniques overnight. Hope to see you there. Steve

if only this wasn't a Monday or 260 miles away, I'd be up for this. Having only been on a track a couple of times and never in my own car. this sounds like the perfect day out.

I'm sure you'll all have fun.

Hmmm, cheers Steve.

I am not so much worried about being slow, overtaken, pants or any of that stuff - I am not actually a bad driver and as Carlos often reminds us, the car isnt slouchy!!

I will possibly take the plunge then, pending insurance for the event - I am pretty excited about it I must say, have even got a work colleague who might come to take some pics so the E90 Posters will no doubt reap some benefit of that.

I guess it was more about just turning up and not having any friends

haha.

I realise I have only ever met people from NM2 off here, but this isnt a FORUM event as such, its just a BMW event... and whilst I am sure there may be a few people interested in a 350bhp Diesel who dont come from here... well, it would be good to speak to people who do.

So if there is yourself, Spin, maybe a few more and we kinda organised something it would be a bonus for me - you know coz then I would have some assurance that I could have some banter.

Its is my first time after all Steve

Is it possible to attend to spectate with a view to possibly doing it in the future?

My lips are sealed!!!!

Hope to see you there Andy - didnt get a chance to have a proper chat at the Ring - i was also a bit conscious that everytime you and i started chatting your girlfriend kept looking at me as though i was leading you astray somewhat, bless her!!

Just a note - Mr P or anyone else going as a spectator - you are more than welcome to jump into the M3 with me for a few laps (if your stomachs can handle it!!?)
