More tools on sale half-price at Canadian Tire

Check the latest flyer. Some wrenches including ratchet ones are on half-price Nov 3 - 9. There is also a fold-up baby car seat for taking on the plane while travelling. Original price $199.99, now $99.99. (P.S. The ones that car rental companies offer for typically $10 a day are often crap.)

get the 24 inch Maximum with half inch sockets + 17 mm deep socket. The wrench should be 65$ half price.

You should always use a torque wrench to tighten your wheels, especially alloy wheels that are prone to damage by over torquing or uneven torquing. I bought a BMW pre-calibrated one as part of a scissor jack kit from Leatherz. I tried to get you the link but their site is down. Not sure why.

I paid $135 USD plus shipping. It's called the extended tool kit.

(BTW, the top of the jack is an exact fit for the plastic jacking points under the car.)

I purchased the previous generation of the Mastercraft Maximum (1/2") torque wrench from Canadian Tire. 7 years and still going strong. It has a lifetime mfg's warranty.

You'll also need a Mastercraft Maximum (1/2") 17mm deep drive socket as some have suggested.

You can purchase the lower grade tools to save a few bucks but I figured that you only purchase these parts once for the life of any car so why cheap out.

BTW I torque my bolts to 85 ft-lbs and never had an issue. Don't forget to retighten the bolts on new bolts after the first couple hundred km as new bolts do stretch.

I hate Canadian Tire more than anything.
I would almost rather place sharp objects in my eyes than shop there.

I picked the Black socket, apparently more sturdy and can be used with air tools too.

For those of you looking for a low profile jack

the Michelin Aluminum Jack is on sale at crappy tire for $179 this week. I just picked one up, works great!
