Holy cow that is insane!!! I used to own a Golf GTI MkII and that was even peppy off the line, I can't imagine 1000hp in that thing. Playing devils advocate though, at some point you gotta say stop to how much horsepower you can pull out of an engine, purely for the sake of traction. Watching the car buckle and dance in the first 100' or so is downright scary! I wonder how they modified it to all-wheel drive? Custom set up maybe, or did they take the driveline out of a r32?

At the Essen Motor Show (see my pics on the front page) I saw this Golf-1 aka Rabbit with a Turbo 2.0L. I think it had over 220 PS and AWD! I thought that must be pretty sic ride. But 1013PS is totally nuts. Just look how that drag Golf launches off the line!
