Is there any way to use the angel eyes as DRL?

As the title suggests, I'd like to use my angel eyes as my DRL instead of the factory ones. I recently got some LED angel eye bulbs and LOVE the look, but am not a fan of the indicator light being on at the same time, and I'd like it to be automatic. Is there a cheap way to do this? I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron but messing with BMW wiring is a bit.. Scary to me. I came from a 2000 Dodge Durango, which was basically 4 wires through the whole car. Maybe a harness? Not sure.

Thanks!

-Nate

This can be coded with BMWhat app and an OBD wifi adapter. Or you can have someone do coding for you.

I'm assuming you have an e90? The only way is to code your car.

Or you could just turn on parking lights.

How hard is the coding to do? Is it like a GUI or do I need to know how to program something? I'm not familiar with anything as far as coding goes but an app and a wifi adapter sound like an easy combo

Or just buy a cable and download/configure/set up the software, which is cheaper to do. But more time consuming.

So how'd it go Nate? Were you able to program the angel eyes as DRL's?

I also have a 2008 pre-LCI 335i and was thinking of doing the same thing.

I have mine coded as DRL's, they are always on when the engine is on when the headlight switch is in any mode. I also coded the KOMBI to enable the option to turn on/off the DRLs/angel eyes.

Well, after a long absence, I'm back to the forum!unfortunately, I've had an unfortunate bit of luck lately, and my financial situation hasn't allowed me to get the coding adaptor yet, but I plan to get it in the next 2-4 weeks! I'll PM you when I do it.
