"It's a Keeper" ...
Until I get tempted
Seen a lovely MGB GT and am rather tempted! Yet again ... Pros for the MG are - Cheap to insure, I mean really cheap! No tax Very easy to service / maintain and repair. Not going to depreciate. Cons - Slow! Not a great car on the motorway. Pros for the MR2 T are - Faster, a LOT faster Not going to depreciate (can't get any cheaper for an excellent car!) Lots and lots of endless fun Fantastic engine with plenty more to give if I would like Cons - Insurance (circa £1000 p/a) Tax 16 MPG (not sure whether to put this in pros or cons ... got great from the money side of things absolutely fantastic for annoying the greenies though) Expensive to service / maintain and repair Really don't know what to do I want them both, I love the classic car fold but if I want to drive a classic I can borrow one of my mums cars but I love the performance of my MR2T as well, will have to have a think about it I suppose! On a different note - CHECK THIS OUT, if only I had the cash - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...%3DI%26otn%3D2 Essentially a 330bhp Ford Cosworth in a much much prettier body

Wonder what he wants for the 1966 AC Cobra 289 and whether it's an original or a wannaby. :

Seriously, I understand the love some people have for classics, but I just don't get MG's. They were not even that good when they were new. |
