JB3 installed, strange things happened after a hard pull, need help.
So today i turned off the DTC(holding it till the circle shows on borad), and i did 2 or 3 hard pulls with some drifting too, then i slow down, but the car feels like it gonna die(sorry for lack of words), or the car is very very shaking while slow driving, so i pulled over and shut off the car, restart the car then everything is fine. theres no codes or limp mode at all.
im running JB3 map3, nyo other mods, 07 e92 335i. anyone know whats going on?? ill try use my BT tmr to see if theres any hidden codes. thanks a lot! ************************************************** *********************************************** EDITTTTTTTTT: did a BT scan today, found few codes after a short test. Current Fault Codes 29DC: 29DC Cylinder injection switch-off Error will cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have not been completed Short circuit or signal interruption Current Shadow Fault Codes 29DC: 29DC Cylinder injection switch-off Error will cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have not been completed Short circuit or signal interruption A10A: EWS4 timing challenge/response error Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Signal or value below threshold A0B0: ECU input brake lights Error will not cause a warning light Error is not currently present Test conditions have been completed Short circuit or signal interruption So after all i did clear all the codes and see if they come back again. my car is 2007 with 30,000kms/18600miles Any inputs guys?? thanks a lot for the help! ) Last edited by mkiv; 03-25-2010 at 06:52 PM.. |

Exact same thing happened to me today *without* a tune after a couple of laps on a small track. From how it felt it's either a misfire or a cylinder got shut off.
I'm going to the dealer next week and for now am trying to borrow a BT tool to read the codes. I'd be very interested in what you find when you read your codes. |

sounds like fuel pump. Have you ever changed the plugs? How many miles do you have?

A Limp, SES or 'check engine light' is not needed for a fuel pump issue, misfires, bad plugs, injectors, etc.
My friends fuel pump was dying for multiple months and after hard pulls had a shaky engine coming back to idle, might be the same case here, or a number of things. |

I had the same issue and it turned out to be a coil...

29DC means the fuel pump signal cut out. Either because of a wiring problem or more likely a fuel pump problem. Verify you have a G2/G3 board and check for a loose wire, etc, and if that all checks out and it continues remove mods and dealer it.
