I originally got the kit but switched to the plate.
Why did you switch? Any difference between the two?

Friend wanted it, local to me, as he was concern with NHV, so I give it to him and installed the plate that I had sitting on the work bench. Honestly, I can't tell the difference but I experience a lot of booms and bams form suspension and tires.

With a LSD I never see the e diff lights anymore. Used to look like a Christmas display on a tight road. Now the only time I ever see the lights, is if I break it loose on a wet road.

Not everyone has wheel hop issues.

You may pick up some unwanted NVH from a diff lock devise.

so wheel hop isn't a direct correlation to engine power, because that seems to be the consensus on this forum.

Lol, because this place is full of geniuses. You can have wheel hop with stock power levels and break things. Wheel hop at higher power levels just break more things faster.

So finally got the Turner solid SF bushings in and, although road surfaces are sketch here in NH now, have been able to put enough miles on to share conclusions...
First and foremost the rear end planted now and no more scary torque steering when passing, or in straight line. Throttle modulation in corners feels buttoned down. The car just feels solid and "of a piece". NICE! BTW: the old bushings had zero observable deterioration (28000 mi).
As far as NVH:
Noise: slightly increased, not obtrusive (to me)
Vibration: No noticeable difference
Harshness: significant increase noticeable over bumps and surface irregularities.
Total NVH: Would trade every time for the improvement to driving dynamics. No brainier!
Still have not added a diff lock (stabilizer not locked diff) and may not now.
Left all the other bushings stock because of low miles.
Bottom line, if you are running more than 400 BHP or 425 ft/lbs (as many of you are) you probably would benefit greatly from SFB's. And don't worry too much about NVH, even with the solid aluminum ones.

And thanks for all the replies!

I did not have a wheel hop issue, before or after...

HP, so the m3 LSD has no communication or special feature to work with E-diff and they are separate stand alone systems that "work seamlessly together"? No different than adding an aftermarket LSD to a 335? Seems to me with the redundancy of two systems the system capable of reacting first will intervene. Like you said, with much less e-diff intervention, the LSD must be faster than e-diff in most situations. Since installing the bushings the car does not "wander" when torque gets redirected, so des not seem to be an issue (like I thought it might have been before the bushings)
I really appreciate all the comments!

Turner Motorsports, the all aluminum ones. I think they are on sale for like $225. It's a 4-5 hour job so looking at 500-600 install.
