These are aftermarket, the wires are just piggy backed onto the low beam driving lights so the amber LEDs turn on automatically...

Perhaps on the US setup has them wired to constant power, i.e. whenever the ignition is on.

Thanks for the info guys!!

Got another problem for ya...any idea why my turn signal light (driver side headlight only) won't turn off, even when the car is off? I even set the light switch to off...This just happened today. I'm not getting any warnings yet but problem persists even in my old headlight so I know its not a problem with the headlight itself. Maybe a light switch malfunction? Any ideas?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120899007730...84.m1423.l2649 this one samething but uses HID ballast/bulbs for low beam

http://www.ebay.com/itm/120894302599...84.m1423.l2649 then this one uses LED for halo + signal (Amber) i think this is the one you have here right?

It's actually these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-06-08-B...ht_17287wt_986

BUT it doesn't seem to be a headlight assembly problem because the problem is still there when I plug in my manufacturer halogen headlights. So it definitely seems like a car issue. I love the headlights, have had them installed for over a month without any kind of problems.

I've attached a picture of the problem for reference.

I would say def go with HID, they are so much better than any halogen bulb. And the price difference between the two is minimal. The posting by fishcake says that you might have to buy "error cancelers" but they actually come installed if you go with the HIDs. The ambers are annoying to have on during the day though. BMW wouldn't recode my car to have only the angel eyes on as daylight running lights, said it wasn't possible. Only way you can have angel eyes during the day is by setting your light switch to "park" which also turns on the ambers. But I have been told by fishcake and others that it can be recoded to only have those 3 small LED park lights on the headlights on, instead of all the 5 amber LEDs in the front, for the park setting. I will prb get that done after figuring out this issue. Only option I have right now is to put my original halogens back on and take it into BMW for a warranty fix, which will be a total b!$@h. Getting that bumper on and off alone sucks!

Yea I think the ones I posted there's 1 there with clear corners and reading the description says something similar to what you're saying. I would hate to have amber ones.. I am thinking of checking out the local places instead of buying these things online (easier for warranty too) ..

Yea I saw the ones with the 3 small led lights .. goodluck hope you get your stuff fixed.. mine currently look like yours too (halogen) actually the HID lows and Halogen lows price is like 100-150 difference (prob worth it)

Are the original angel eyes LED, or they're similar to OEM LCI ones (which are illuminated by deflecting rays of light in a fibre optic ring, hence not as bright as these)?

It seems they have wires attached to them so they should be LED right?

Original angel eyes on the Depos are a plastic ring illuminated by 4 little bulbs.

50w for your driving headlights? Not necessary, HIDs are much more efficient so 35w is what you need.

Unsure if 50w will work or cause burning issues.

Take of lens

Hi Stuart, You're awesome!

Could you make a guide to have to remove the lens and seal it again on these Depo headlights?

Cheers!
