I initially had my stock grills painted (the outside chrome section), but I didn't like how the "slats" portion was still chrome so I ended up ordering the black plastic grills and swapping my oem painted portion with the black inside portion of the new black grills. Just make sure you get the outside painted part clear bra'd to protect it from chipping

I'm still iffy on whether or not I'll leave em like that. Some days I like it, and other days I think it doesn't flow with the car color.
