Out of interest, what's the estimated cost for BMW to replace: 2 x Turbos and the HPFP including labour?

They say it'll take them 3 days.

Shouldn't take anymore than 2 days. You can get upgraded turbo's for £2000.

I must say all this turbos going bad talk is pretty scary for us who don't have warranties...

I had the dreaded rattle/power loss on cold starts.

Dropped it off this morning, was told of the work required, and rebooked for another day.

No prices, but I was curious.

I've no idea, I haven't read much into what causes it.

From what I've read though, it doesn't cause any issues, just a rattle from the wastegates.

Yeah but I think the rattle eventually leads the turbos into needing ot be replaced...

And even replacing them doesn't guarantee there will be no rattle.

Turbo, wastegate, and hpfp i'm guesstimating around 5-7K depending if the dealer is feeling nice or not, lol.
