Advice needed E92 £1500 knocked of price

Picking up 320D E92 friday from my earlier post, so as you do keeping going on dealer site to feast my eyes on her .
Lo n behold they've drop the price from £25,990 to £24,490(strange that its still showing on the site) now hang on a minute I paid the deposit on monday .
So where do I stand when I go to sign the finance tomorrow take a memory stick with the 2 pdf's on showing the car at 25 and 24
or am I stuffed because I have the used vehicle order form showing selling price of 25,990 .
Any thoughts many thanks in advance.....

As far as I'm aware: You are under no obligation to take the car even if you've paid the deposit due to the FSA cooling off period.. And you should get your deposit back. I'll let someone else confirm this.

Anyway, surely you'd want a 7-8% discount on a car of this age/value so I'd expect you to be paying less than 24k anyway... (Or at the most the 24,490 figure if not main dealer).

Are you sure they didn't update the wrong advert or etc though? As this seems strange...

You are paying over the odds unless it has a v high spec. I nearly bought a brand new 320d M Sport E92 with 19's and a few other options for £26000, the dealer deposit contribution was just over £7000.

Cooling off period does not apply if you sign a deal face to face. If you've agreed to pay the higher price and they accepted your deposit, and you paid your deposit on that basis then that's the deal.

They may have done it to bring in new customers -

"....calling about the coupe at £24k"
"sorry sir we've just sold that one, we have another one...."

A variation on one of Big Motoring World alledged techniques to bring in customers, without going to the extent of apparently just making up hi spec cars to flog unroadworthy SEs with cloth seats . Alledgedly.

If it was me I'd be straight into the dealership asking what they're doing. WHat is their explanation, and what reason shouldn't you be paying the cheaper price? Is this their new opinion of its market value? Notwithstanding your legal position, morally they are p*ssing about IMO, unless its a genuine mistake (pretty unlikely, frankly).

Thanks Mega and peterg1965, her and her twin sister(as I call her) have both dropped to 24,490 so not wrong advert both deep sea blue E92 (cooper sunderland) I need to get out of my current car and they gave me a way out that 1, I get the engine I want and should have hung out for. 2 I get to tour germany again in something with a bit of go in it. now if I walk cooper durham have a E90(le mans blue) 320D sport editon plus at 23,995 and a E92 320d se (alpine white) at 24,995.
So I'm stuck really sunderland will you honour the lower price if not walk and try durham ask if they can get me into one of there above stated cars by friday sat oh and honour my px and monthly payments from the sunderland deal on paper.
Don't mind paying a bit over the odds just release me from this 318D.

What's a 320d going to give you over the 318d?

Good luck. If you're not happy with the explanation, stick to your guns. Say you may think about your rights and wish to contact BMW GB. Make them think you'll do it and I suspect they may well realise they should give you the lower price out of goodwill.

It is possible that the dealer pricing team reduced the price without realising it was sold. Morally however you could argue that if they thought it was unsold then they should honour the new price for you. Reasonable, no?

I would say things are complicated because you have the 1 going back, so they could say you have already had the discount in the form of a higher allowance on the 1 - so you need to be clear if they have allowd you 'book' or above for that.

That having been said, when I have done a deal, the higher allowance on my trade in has always beed shown as a discount on the car being purchased - I guess for tax reasons - its all about 'cost to change' in the end.

Update, genuine mistake as the guy I had to see on wed looked into it and some junior gets a car list to reduce the price of. It was her twin sister that was to be reduced reason being it was being used by a sales man and had doubled the mileage. So got a full tank of fuel when I get her and a spare light bulb kit which I asked as goodwill.will miss Idrive but there's some extra goodies over the 318D to keep me smiling. As stated above the price of mine to change would proberly gone down as well. So really happy , loved the car but suppose just fell out of love with the engine.

The deep sea blue 320d on Sunderlands site is down as having press prep. Does this mean various motoring hacks have driven it?

The first one is the one that has double its mileage and was dropped to that price not 6,000 miles anymore as stated , the second ones at chelmsford so not that one.
Mine was taken off when I asked what was going on.

And finally, got her this afternoon only had a short drive in her like how the seat belt is handed to you nice touch, part electric seats nice.
Oh and offered a chance to play with the 1M when it comes to the dealer for
2 days in august, think that puts the icing on the cake for me.
