Took delivery of new e92 coupe- Stain in headliner

I just received my e92 coupe on friday, i checked the entire to make sure everything was fine and I noticed there is a smudge/stain on the gray headliner by driver side A-pillar, like the person prepping the car had a dirty hand.

Is there anyway to clean or remove this, the headliner is a weird texture and I dont want to make it any worse?

Try warm water and a cotton cloth. If that doesn't do it, move up to a very gentle brush. If that fails, add some mild soap or a fabric cleaner (like Woolite).

Let us know.

Will Microfiber suffice in place of cotton cloth?

I went looking for woolite and could not find it. Can I use a stain remover like Shout, or would that not work?

Im going to try the warm water and cloth now.

Yeah, microfiber is recommended (made of cotton BTW). I wouldn't go right to Shout... too soapy and might discolor the fabric.

I tried a suggestion in my other thread (foam glass cleaner to clean it) and it seems to have removed the stain, cant really tell right now if it all came out since its dark.
