Someone has to make their money somewhere. Don't blame you guys for charging your prices.

I personally would go out of my way to purchase from the states, but there are many who would prefer the ease of dealing with UK Distributors.

Gd luck! And hope you lads stay around longer than Burger Tuning

A member on here pointed this thread out to me so I thought it best to come on here and let people know who we are.

At Performance Developments our original area of expertise was working with Motorsport based vehicles and developing ECU systems and software to run everything from engine, gearboxes, traction control systems etc... and also install and calibration of aftermarket ECU systems such as Motech, Omex, Haltech etc... In 2007-2008 when the economy went downhill we branched out a little and catered also for standard road cars and ever since, business has boomed. We set up a network of dealers and are now part of the Sedox Performance group with over 70 dealers worldwide including offices in the UK, Norway, South Africa and Mexico.

As a BMW and VW / Audi specialist we came accross the Burger Motorsport JB4 products whilst visiting a tuning company in Florida and quickly snapped up a few kits as well as a Methanol setup for our own E28 135i demo car, we were so impressed with the results that we started reccomending them to customers and placing orders with the old UK supplier (Juiced Up tuning) and then when the opportunity arose we took over the UK distribution and supply contract, and also supply Burger products across Europe.

If people want to take a look at what we do, heres our software (remapping) website:

www.sedox-performance.co.uk

Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sedox...80034348683514

And Burger products can be found here:

www.performance-bmw.co.uk

The BMW products website did have some incorrect prices and most have been rectified, some still need looking into but our web designer and many vital staff members have been away on holiday recently so we are clearing a backlog of work and just getting it all up to date. All orders are currently being taken by phone so any website errors wont affect the price you pay when ordering, the problem stemmed from Burger changing prices in the USA and our website trying to correct for these changes caused some products to be underpriced, and others overpriced.

I noticed people mentioning prices of the JB4, heres an example:

http://www.performance-bmw.co.uk/pro...ge3Jb4-963.htm

We charge £435 + £12 delivery = £447 for this item in the UK, the same item bought from Burger in the USA costs $479 + $55 delivery = $534, divide this by todays exchange rate on paypal (1.51) gives a cost delivered of £353

When this Arrives in the UK the product attracts 3% duty and then 20% VAT giving a sub total of £436 and is processed via Parcel force that charge £13 as a customs fee, giving a total of £449

So by buying in the UK you save £2 and get the items next day if ordered before 12pm with technical support from experts here in the UK that are working on and tuning BMW's on the dyno day in, day out and we now have a dedicated member of staff dealing with enquiries and tech support for the Burger products.

If people have any further question or comments, feel free to ask.

Can you comment on the fitment of the downpipes? are they perfect fit for UK cars?

Can you ask your dedicated member of staff on how best to remove carbon built up? walnut blasting or the highly potent seafoam treatments?

Pretty sure the catted downpipes cannot be altered die to the location of the cats. If anyone knows otherwise I would love to get a set.
Also if you order jb4 direct from America you will get all the support you require I.e. tweaking maps etc... If you purchase from elsewhere not sure where that leaves you in terms of support!

At £329 that includes a USB lead.

The £447 example doesn't. You are £472 with a USB lead.

Other guys had single units inported from Switzerland for just over £400.

How did Juiceduptuning manage to sell the items for so much less? Why is there now a 35% mark up?

I would rather buy from a UK supplier TBH. Were only talking a few £'s and it would be much easier to deal with any issues or get support.

I wouldn't say it is these guys that are a rip off but that the UK generally is a rip off for almost everything. They are just trying to run a profitable business. I'm glad someone is finally supplying more aftermarket parts in the UK.

Don't know guys, but I tried to contact them twice n no response.

Also, if you compare the price of the JB4 S3 to BurgerT it's ridiculous. Order direct from BT and u save 200 quid

Hi, I'm not sure how you tried to contact us but our phones are monitored from 9am to 6.30pm and email from 8am to 10pm.

Also, I just built a basket with the burger tuning site and it came out more expensive than buying from us directly:

Jb4 stage3 shipped to UK is $534 with their current offer. Paypal rate is 1.49 so that is £358. Then it attracts 3% import duty and 20% vat on arrival in the uk and then parcel force add a £13 customs fee so a total of £455.

So we are £20 cheaper than buying direct from Burger in the USA.

How on earth did you save £200 by buying direct? That would mean you bought it all in delivered for £235 ($350) so I think you may be mistaken with your costings.

Thank you, and its usually a few £'s cheaper buying it direct from us in the UK than directly from Burger in the USA.

So, I tried again and received the same message, I won't have to pay any tax in Lebanon

So, yes, I did contact you, yes you are right if buying IN THE UK. Hence my email and question.

Best of luck

Hi Sam,

I have done all I can but if you buy direct from Burger in the USA the shipping to the Lebanon is $65 ($544 total inc postage) it will save you about £45 over our price as we would need to factor in 2 postage costs as well as the UK import duty which we can't claim back.

Good luck with you purchase and project!
