I feel like I am contradicting what my decision was in my own thread by deciding on the BMW PE
It does NOT eliminate the secondary cats.
I admit it generates awesome high-tone and clear sound.

Here is the sound level data; 92dB@E90-323i, 93dB@E90-325i
(measured from 10 in behind the exhausts.)

Still a lot of money for an exhaust.
Is it possible to see photos of the finished product?
Thanks Toshi-san

Hmmm so it would weigh even less but be louder with the cats removed. If there are enough people interested I would purchase it. Lol I had to spend 1400 dollars on one headlight for my old car so I think that for an exhaust would be yes ridiculous but somehow reasonable.

Thanks for all the info on the exhaust Toshi. I agree pics of the exhaust installed from underneath would be great!

I have seen inside cabin and rev videos. It would be nice to hear it in action with a few drive by's from the outside.

Wow that looks amazing!! Thanks again Toshi those pics are sweet. Is that a small resonator on the part of piping with the muffler on it?

If only it were a little cheaper I would buy it now. lol

NA (i.e. non-turbo) does not have the secondary cat.
The bulge of the stock center pipe is a sub-silencer.

Yup. it's a sort of resonator for sound tuning.

Just have to compliment this exhaust. Due to price I'm going with the BMW Performance...soon, unless someone knows of anything else similar to Laptoor's sound. Not really interested in the MMW CS exhaust because I like having the midpipe replaced. Also like that Laptoor and the BMWPE don't use steel wool so I would expect the sound to remain consistent.

Gavin is currently working on mid pipes for our cars to be mass produced over here. Give him a shout and he should be able to give you a price and est. time of arrival.

Couldn't wait... Got a great deal from a local dealer, including tax, to rival any price I've seen offered recently online.

Actually, they do have secondary cats....
on an NA e90 like my 330i, there aer primary cats in the headers, secondaries a few feet down stream, a resonator another couple feet downstream and then the muffler...

from the looks of it, this exhaust does delete the secondary cats
