Eccentric Shaft Sensor Seal

Hey guys,

I had some engine leaks and decided to take on the Valve cover gasket project myself, everything went will so far until I started having some problems with putting in the eccentric shaft sensor seal on my 2006 325xi with an aluminum valve cover. Are these seal the same for both the plastic and aluminum covers. For hell I cant get it in to fit. It seem bigger than the whole.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This happens to the best of us, your original gasket is still installed or at least the top ring of it. Use a flat head screwdriver and get under the ring and pry upward. Once you remove it the new one will pop right in very easily.
