Mr. Irv Robinson is featured in the Wall Street Journal

Irv, you have just been quoted and mentioned in the Wall Street Journal's story on the European Delivery.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1181...s_us_nonsub_pj

Congratulations Irv, keep up the good work. I'm impressed and I say that from the bottom of my heart. You have done a wonderful job promoting the ED program and it paid off.

Your website edbmw.com has been also mentioned, which recognizes the efforts that you put into it by updating it constantly and keeping on top of things. Your blog has also some wonderful articles, pictures and videos, always a pleasure to go back and read more.

Thanks again Irv for your efforts

Congratas to Irv.

That said, why are "journalists," so damn freaking lazy. Check out this line:

"BMW will open a new facility to handle overseas deliveries in Welt, Germany, later this year, partly to meet growing demand. "

Welt, Germany! I bet the major there is now wondering how in the H his new delivery center ended up in Munich, on the other end of the country. This is why I can't take anything I read in "mainstream" newspapers at face value anymore. I find too many stupid mistakes like that.

Congrats, Irv!

I agree, it's a stupid mistake, but it's hard to be on top of everything when you only get a few hours to write a story... especially when you're supposed to write four to five stories a day.

It's all about timing and a lot of help from a few close friends. My customer in the article was upset that Matt mentioned her age.Mistakes happen, the Welt will still be in Munich the next time you go on this amazing journey.European deliveries could easily increase 50 -60 % over '07.Once the Welt is staffed properly and allocations have increased proportionately to the growth, next year's ED's will get even better.Thank you all for your support !

Good article.

Would like to add... This was the most enjoyable purchase I have ever made. (How often do you hear that about buying a car?) Irv helped every step of the way.

Irv,
Can't say as the age thing didn't jump to the front of the page. I think what grabbed me was that he wrote it as though you were the one who said it. Even if you did, I think we all know better than to bring up a womans age once they hit 25. I immediately figured he must have gotten her permission to print it.

The article was great and certainly a nice, well earned, dose of publicity for you. I'm trilled to (maybe) be taking delivery at the Welt. Let's keep our fingers crossed the date you gave me holds. I'm sweating it till I hear from you at the end of the month. I'm counting on your voodoo to work! Any word on MY 2008 ED and wholesale prices yet?

Congratulations!

I think maybe you really mean eZines as far as not taking them at face value, not newspapers. WSJ online is not the same as what is delivered to ones front doorsteps as far as I know.
