How much time spent when picking up you car at dealership?
I am anxious to pick up my e92 in less than 10 days. How much time did you spend at the dealership when picking up your long waited ordered car?
Including inspecting the car, see if there's any damage, thru signing the paperworks and finally drove off the dealership. My car will be tinted, and that's a package that i negotiated. The dealership does not perform the tint job, it will have to be sent to another shop. Should i pick up my car first without tint and later send it back to them for the tint job? Or pick it up after everything is done? Not sure if the worker at tint shop gonna get a free test drive on my new ride that i've never set foot on YET. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks. |

The paperwork and all shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Then it depends how thorough you want them to be when explaining the car and it's features. Usually that may take an hour or so. If you are very familiar with the car it will probably take 20 minutes.

Picked up mine yesterday. Almost 3 hours!
This may be an anomaly as they never did a credit check when I first ordered the car. So I had to fill one out and wait a little while before it came back and was approved. There was also a computer problem and a lot of the paperwork had to be re-printed. We ran through all the features of the car and the CA set up the BMW Assist for me, as well. Without the computer glitch and assuming you've got your credit check done, I suppose you could get through it in an hour and half, or so... Last edited by PCLazarus; 06-17-2007 at 07:30 PM.. |

I did ED, so this is probably not a representative post, but it took me about 10 mins. I just did a walk around to make sure there was no damage and no scratches from redelivery, and made sure that I got a U.S. navigation DVD. My CA asked if I had any questions, I said no, and I was off.
