Lease quote.......Does this sound right
Here is what my CA quoted me for a lease on a 335i coupe that i will be purchasing doing Euro Delivery (July 12th) .
My buying price. 44,995 58% Residual value based on MSRP of 50,375 Money Factor. .00255 Money Down= $1600 (tax, license and fees) Payments of 701.62/month Reason i ask is because i thought it would be in the low 600's. I now some of you guys out there are good with numbers. Let me know if this sounds right and if i can get a better rate leasing through someone else other than BMW... |

Goodness, unless prices increased that much, my 3-year lease with $1000 down and a buying price of $49,000 has a $645/mo lease...

3 years at 15,000 miles.
From what you guys are saying then my estimaitions were correct that the payments should be in the low 600's. I thought the residual value on this car would have gone up after all the demand on it. THis is through BMW financial by the way |

That is actually really high--my first e92 was at .0020, my second was at .0015.....if that was lower it would make a HUGE difference in your monthly payment...

If I'm doing ED, is MSRP the U.S. sticker price or is MSRP the European Delivery MSRP, which is about $2800 less? A dealer quoted my lease and based the residual on U.S. MSRP, not ED MSRP.

Dude just buy the damn car.
Look imparator4, for that kind lease payment. You are about a 100 off a 0 dp straight out finance purchase. No limitations etc. You can put something down if it makes you feel better, your money either way. When you think or feel you are done, just trade it in or sell it. You will get more than leasing it. Check the lease calculator/ financing comparators on Edmunds, you will be surprised how much it really is going to cost you leasing vs buying the car. Lease has its place, but to me it looks like you are not a good candidate for it. I was going to lease but went and bought it outright as it turned out to be the better financial move.

Even though the BMWFS published MF is .00185 for the 335 coupe (36mo 15kmi), is it true that the dealer can mark that up? The dealerships I've asked here in Socal say that they offer .00185 for previous BMW owners/lessors, while it is .00240 otherwise with no sec deposit down. If one puts down one sec deposit, they lower the MF by .00015, .00030 for two sec depo, etc.
Has anyone seen something similar? |

Forget it dude, just buy the car with Finance.
Do this, negotiate the best sale price you can with a lease. Pay no attention to whatever money factor they tell you. They will give you a nice sale price, and try to make money with MF etc... so when you have hammered the price low enough, turn around and tell them you want a finance. Get your own lender unless you are going to ED. Too many ways to get f-ed with a lease deal.
