Exclamation Warning! 335i Orders Delayed!

World exclusive! An inside source has confirmed that 335i orders will be delayed even further!. An internal memo from BMW AG confirms that there is a supply problem with the fuel injectors for the 335i engine - some orders for June will be bumped to July, some July orders to August etc. BMW are asking dealers to switch cars were ever possible and discuss alternatives with customers (325i etc). It effects all E92 and E93 orders.! So now our long waits will be even longer. I know this effects all Australian Orders but I assume everyone else will be in the same boat. You might want to check with your dealer.

I can't believe that this crap is still going on. I read a thread as soon as i ordered my car and it went into production the very next day and I got the car in less than 6 weeks.
These threads should have an easy access delete button.

All I can say is that my E93 was built as promised in week 23, and is now on the boat heading across the Atlantic.

Hey All,

I'm pretty new to the forums, but I recently ordered an E92 on May 12th and haven't even received a production number yet. I called my CA the other day and he said all production for the E92 has stopped for now. He says it's because they're focusing on getting the 1 series into production. Not sure if this is true, but could anyone shed some light? I don't even have an estimated delivery date yet and it's been over a month.

Sounds like your CA is blowing smoke up your ... you know what. Why would they stop production of the E92 for? It's selling like hotcakes and there is HIGH demand for it right now. Sounds like they messed up your order and are covering their butts. I ordered around May 7th and got a production number the next week. My car is finally built and waiting for a boat to get over here.:rocks: Demand better answers than that. if you want call BMW 800-831-1117 and ask questions there too.

There is no way this is true. It makes no sense from any point of view.

I heard similiar things from Brecht BMW in Escondido when I enquired for a better ED price in San Diego. He said factory cancelled some orders and now there is an additional 2 month delay.

This all sounds ridiculous. Has anyone called BMWNA to get the real scoop?

You are driving an E90 probably, which are easily available. E92/93 335 has availability problems

Well, some dealers have had allocation issues with E9x 335s, because of engines needed for the 5 series. That being said, if there was a delay due to injectors, it would affect all turbo'ed BMWs that use that motor, not just coupes and convertibles.

Ill tell you, I am sick of delays for this car. Ive been bumped back a bit, now expecting an august delivery.

There's been a hundred threads like this. I fell for it once. Never again.

Until I see an actual released statement from BMW I refuse to believe any message board rumors. Order your car it will be in your garage in about two months. Don't stress. There's your support.

I was told the same thing today by my dealer.. Seems like my production got lagged for 3 more weeks into mid july from late june. Is this real or did my dealer just give someone else my allocation?

Bogus or not - something is delaying the delivery of the cars. Could it be that its the dealers are spinning us all a line? I wouldn't put it past them!It just seems strange that the same story is emerging on at least two continents.
