Apparently with catless dps stage 1 goes in overboosting and therefore there is a drop.

Is that bad? So I'm assuming that this won't happen with the appropriate tune for the mods.

Kinda like running stg1 on PROcede when you're fully catless, when you should be running stg3.

Maybe it's more beneficial for those who are heavily modded to wait till stage 2+ comes out on GIAC, which is what I'm waiting for.......

Maybe that was happening at the dynojet as well.

That looks like the 5k waffle to me. Very interesting, would very much like to know what is causing that cut-off.

What is interesting is the target precedes the actual.

On my B5 S4 GIAC, I would get a similar issue but only at the onset of throttle opening.

Can you rescale to PSI for easier referencing? But otherwise, that looks correct and thanks.

If you're talking about mine, I don't understand why you think that.
Remember that the peaks and valleys were when I shifted.

I'll see what I can do to re-scale.
How do you get the actual PSI from the BT outputs? Because I know for a fact that I'm not getting 18-19 psi.
Thanks.

think he was referring to mine Mr.5 . Maybe Borsig can go a big deeper on his comment so that i can understand why. I post this stuff to learn from other members and understand how the tune work.

No no, my bad guys...

I was thinking that Mr.5's graph was from a single gear pull, not one where he shifted.

Thanks.
Create a new column in Excel and use the following formula:

=(A1-10)/10*14.5

But replace the A1 with the appropriate cell for the pressure in front of throttle. Then copy and paste to the rest of the rows.

Thanks for that equation Scalbert! I've always wondered how to determine the actual PSI based on the BT logs.
Here's the same graph but I put things into better perspective using your equation.

I started in 2nd gear at 40mph, then went to 3rd and ended in 4th.
GIAC states that the reason why actual boost is higher than specified is due to running the stage 1 tune on a stage 2 car. I'm slightly overboosting but this should be taken care of in a couple weeks.

There is that strange boost oscillation around 5200RPM, it occurs in all graphs. And Mr. 5 graph is not on the dyno, its on the road. Can't be said that it is the dyno's fault because the software is tuned for the road...

Not on relatively stock cars with a catback only or less.

We are all too tuned for stage 1. would be nice to hava a member with stock car and stage 1.
I am sure the issue on our cars will be resolved with stage 2 or higher.

Agree. I was warned before I got the flash that my car might not run perfect since my car is stage 2 running a stage 1 tune, but if this isn't considered perfect, I'm really looking forward to what they consider perfect.
