TPMS kits from Tire Rack 433Mhz

MY E90 needs another set of rims for Summers tires. Tire rack offers TPMS sensors for 2009+ BMWs. Anyone else order them with their rims? The site says they are compatible with the BMW system. I am not willing to have a TPMS warning every time I start the car, it's embarrasing and looks cheap when I have passengers.

Anyone select these with their rims? Any problems?

Just give tirerack your information and they should give you the valve and sensor combination that works.

I ordered an extra set from tirerack, and they work great. The system was tested when I got a flat from a pothole.

In case they give you the wrong combination, you'll have no problem returning (opposed to guessing yourself).

Thanks, sounds like everything should be fine. Famous pothole explosions.

Wooo.. looks like some drama! Anyways, OP: I ordered my snow set from tirerack (gary was super easy to work with!) and had them include the TPMS sensors because like you, I didn't want to listen to a chime/see a warning every time I got into my car. So far so good, they're workin' great with no issues!

Great! Thanks! I'm sold on these.

I have a friend that has winters/rims and the warning comes on every time it is started. I can't help but think that this person bought a BMW and can't/won't afford to get proper tires/sensors for a secoond set of rims. I always poke fun at him and call him a cheap bastard.

HA! I figured I'd spare myself the trouble of explaining what/why the warning was going off to everyone that set foot inside my ride

Plus, knowing how my tire pressure is doing is a perk too i guess!

I would think it's a safety issue as well when you're running runflats.

Thanks again Mods

It's actually cheaper picking them up locally 140 euro for sensors and 40 euro for stems....

I got my winter tire package with tpms from tirerack on Dec 2010. I have not had any warning come up.

Niice! Like you, I don't have the time or motivation to do that schtick myself. It's just easier to check the blocks and wella! it's in the mail and at your doorstep in a few days ready to mount. Thanks!

On my second set of TPMS from tire rack. When going from stock to tirerack sensor I had a TPM warning that cleared with reset. This latest set no warning at all.

So if you hit reset, you don't get a constant light? Interesting... I thought I had to run them to avoid the warning. Any updates since you were running them?

OP - I had two lights come on, but they turned off after driving for a while. They are made by Beru, so should be the same quality as OE, but without the pricey logo.
