Do I really need new window motors?
After the last service at the $tealer they reported that I need new window motors at the front because the one-touch rise function does not work (one-touch lower is fine). I also notice that the front windows don't close or open automatically when closing or opening the car with the key fob and keeping the button pressed - the rear ones do.
It seems odd that both motors would go faulty at the same time. At least I'll be getting something back from the extended warranty (it'll cost £100 instead of over £600) but that's not the point if the problem is coding or something else. |

Update - they changed the motors and, surprise surprise, it didn't cure the problem. They then ran diagnostics (not sure why they didn't do that before) and found that the footwell module was faulty.
