Best place to buy electrical cable?
Hi all, I'm looking for some electrical cable to finally complete my heated seat install. Where's the best place to get it? I need a few different sizes, colours & lengths. I have the connectors for each end btw.
Thanks in advance! |

Not Maplin, unless you want to re-mortgage your house!
I would find a decent local auto electrical specialist, I've used this one: https://grmillward.com/ Once popped in for just a fuse and they gave me several for free, given they only cost pence.

You never know but there might be some deals to be had from Maplin now they are in administration!
If you have a model shop locally they should be able to provide various gauge wires although you might find the colour selection limited. Alternative a motor factor will do you exactly what you need at much less than Halfords. Your biggest problem is you only want short lengths. There are loads of companies that will sell you wire but they will want you to take a complete reel of 50m or 100m per gauge and colour. |

I never knew they were in administration. Although it doesn't surprise me. It was full of overpriced stuff where you could find better and/or cheaper online.

These guys have good stocks of pretty much everything https://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/ but the postage charges can be high if you're not buying lots.
