holy shit, 650 is a VERY GOOD price, BITE that hand and bloody quick !
Seriously that is a great price for someone under 25. It's almost TOO cheap ! SJ EDIT: I still can't believe that price, I assume that's fully comp right ? Did you have to limit your mileage ? Mine's over 750 fully comp with 8k mileage (business use included) and I'm, er, well older than 30 |

Having said that I,m with Directline, I pay £450.00 for a 330D sport coupe & the premium is only rising £11.00 for the 335D sport coupe when it arrives. I do have 5+yrs NCB which is protected and I'm only just the right side of a bullseye, which does help. You could try A plan, but they did'nt beat DL for me, but worth a try Aplan: 01635 874646 *Directline *ucked up,quote was for wrong car.Got to have a Tracker with DL,so goin elsewhere* Last edited by Hotcoupe; 10-03-2007 at 09:22 AM.. |

I agree that price is very good for someone your age, I am (so I'm told) twice your age and I pay that for a protected policy with a few hundred excess. I didn't however go for the cheapeast quote, I'm with BMW now which seems like a very comprehensive policy, but you never really can tell till you make a claim..... I hope I never have to find out !

Yeah the cab is fab g33...
:P Picked it back up off my boss yesterday and am re-learing how to drive a Turbo car, you gotta be careful because the boost spikes now right around 2500 3000 rpm which can catch you, I keep finding myself pulling out into roundabouts and having to slam the brakes on, because it boosts hard and then bloody shoots forward ! Fun fun fun |

Is your car garaged at Fort Knox and got a Tracker! I'm just shy of 50, 5+yrs NCB,no previous and I'm paying £450 for a 330D coupe & getting quotes for the new 335D around the £400/450 mark. Where do you live Maniac, some sort of secure unit! |

hmmm i find that hard to believe!!! my lowest quote is 603£ protected 5yrs no claims (i thought it was 4 but was wrong) clean license garaged £300 excess and not even a tracker required. however i cant beleive how much a tracker costs its kinda a rip off!!! i mean more or less £400/£500 for the first year my norwich union quote came out at £1400 and privelege at £631 - £250 excess and at 4yrs no claims |

My E90 330d has tracker fitted but the insurance company wern't interested as the value of the car is way under their 40k threshold, that leaves me the decision whether to get it registered for £150 ish for the first year.

I live in North Wales with a reasonably good postcode. The car is garaged and not fitted with a tracker because the insurance didn't require it. I would like to add that my voluntary excess is £350. I have just had my renewal through with privilege and it is £357. I have just double checked because I found it hard to believe too! |

christ all these quotes are depressing me....I am *well* into my 30's got 8 yrs NCB, live in a v.nice area, drive+garage and i'm paying 600+ for my E92 330i Msport....I can't belive these whipper snappers getting these quotes
that said....cheapest ain't always best....especially where insurance is concerned. be careful of some of the "big names". i have family/friends who wouldn't touch the likes of direct line / tesco's even if they would insure them for £1 after having LOTS of agro when making claims. I stick with LiverPool-Victoria and pay a bit more as in the last 10 yrs i've used them twice and both times their service and attention to detail when dealing with the no-fault claims was first class and zero inconvenience to me. so i stick with em and pay a few pennies more for the peace of mind. |

Must be my points and my missus' fault and no-fault accidents in recent times. I'm 33. Mind you my total excess is 200 or 250 I believe. I 2nd what northern monkey says though - check the policy wording and small print i.e. do they cover your options, do you have to tell them about your options, will they give you a new car if write off in first year etc. They vary a lot on that.

Postcode makes a massive difference. Our house should have been in a 'better' postcode, but after we had bought, (brand new 8 years ago), the bloody postcodes were redrawn and we ended up lumped n with a less than satisfactory code that includes a crime 'hotspot'. Needless to say insurance on house and car escalated.
I'm 42, I've got 8 years protected no claims, 3 points and a £250 excess and paid approx. £550 this year. Best quote I could get through Sainsbury's Bank. If our postcode had been as it should we could knock at least £150 off that. :sad0147:

Not yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Other houses on the estate have been targetted in the past by lowlife scum who want what they can't be arsed to go out and earn.

Just got my insurance sorted today for my new 335d Coupe M Sport.
Royal Sun Alliance high value scheme. £720 for 18,000 miles including business. 34 yrs old full ncd on drive in sussex. Not the cheapest but hopefully a good policy. |
