mate read it earlier this week!! fantastic right up on a fantatic car, the M-sport kit looked really good in red !!

and its quick enough as stock to keep up with most modern day hopt hatches too!!

amazing thing for me was with all the options the car they used for the review cost more (34k ish) than a bog standard 335i

I'd be really interested to read the article. Do all BMW owners get sent the mag or is it something you just buy. I have had my car about 6 weeks but don't get sent a mag?

I think they mean the one you can buy in the shops. I wasn't sure at first either but then I figured BMW writing a glowing report on their own car wouldn't mean much !!!!!

I'd really like to see the article that featured the 335d remap (I think by DMS) but missed it in whichever magazine that was in

it was fuckin slow, not much quicker than my completely stock 335d.. was quicker but not by shit loads!!!

the re-mapped 335d must have been a friday afternoon car, they did like 0-60 in 5.5 (ive approx that any how prob a 5.6) and a 0-100 in 12.7 (i approx did a low 13 from a stock car)

Cheers hotcoupe, you're a gent.
Carlos> 5.5 would do me fine. That's about what DMS got the E60 535d down to isn't it? It's not all about 0-60 as people keep saying !

Sorry Silver had a good look but it must have gone to recycling heaven.
If it helps it was in the June issue of BMW car, but I see that our resident Remap expert Carlos has written a review for you so it's probably not worth getting the back issue!

As you know remapping is all about 0-60/100 times & any other potential benefits matter not a jot.

By the way BMW has confirmed that Coupe's (Not saloon's) finished in Black Sapphire benefit from a smoother surface area & therefore achieve 0-60 1 .3 seconds faster then cars finished in other colours, the BHP is also higher as is the torque but BMW were very cagey when pushed for a figure.

I thought it was car's with DXB in the registration that get improved BHP and 0-100 times ?

I did not have a scanner back then and took photos with my phonecam which were not too pretty I then re-snapped the shots with a better digicam and they should be more readable now - albeit still not great.
If you zoom IE7 (or whatever your browser is) up to about 150% you should be ok.

Many thanks chap! Sounds like the CAA remap is more effective than DMS......
