ZF 8HP Fluid flush information

Hi all, I am in the process of scheduling an appointment to flush the transmission oil. the transmission has been acting up more and more often now, with shift quality continually worsening which leads me to believe the oil flush has been long overdue. i am currently at 110,000km, or 67,000 miles which i was told isnt very long. Anyone experienced a similar issue? could it be something else? (which i doubt, because the transmission operates perfectly fine at times) I would like to gather as much information i can about this oil change and ensure that this is what my car needs.. thanks all

Don't flush it, just do a drain + fill. Use the OEM ZF fluid (or quality equivalent) that's appropriate for your application. You should replace the filter as well.

It's hard to say whether fresh fluid would help, but there's only one way to find out. At the very least, it eliminates the simplest and cheapest solution.

do you know if the oil pan needs to be replaced in order to do a flush? I want to also replace the filter. ive seen someone do a fluid flush on a zf trans with barely 50,000miles on it and the fluid was BLACK. i suspect this is why my transmission shift quality isnt very good anymore. i am looking forward to start pushing my engine past 4 more often after this change..

Transmission Oil Pan And Filter

This is my 1st AT in a long time. I am pretty sure that you order the oil pan and it comes with an integral filter for around $130.00.
.
ZF recommends a change at 62k
.
I think I will just go with 50k changes.
.
Temp controlled installation with a level vehicle is the key + torque sequence.
.
.
Cheers

Yes, I believe the kit comes as a pan + filter. Here is the kit for your car according to Pelican (the ZF kit would be my choice): http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg1.htm#item3

Here is the ZF fluid, reasonably priced IMO: http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg1.htm#item0

Most kits include 7 bottles of fluid as part of the flush
