do angel eyes turn off by itself?
basically, i want to set up so that angel eyes on when the car is on and off when the car is off, more like the day running light. Is this possible? because I really want to use the eyes all the time, but afraid that I will forget to turn it off when leaving my car and it will drain the battery.

Do you have Xenons now? Just turn on the parking lights and the angel eyes are on, which by the way is illegal to drive this way.

yes, but my question is how to set up so that it turns off when i turn off the car because for sure, one day I will forget to turn it off and that will drain the battery.
yeah, it may be illegal. but also don't we all speeding all the time? and not completely stop at the stop sign. well, also I am taking my chances just for the look of the car, also I will not put the front license plate on and this is also not legal To me, when it comes to cars and driving habits, as long as I don't get caught, it's legal. |

i don't think so frog...
if you have the light dial turned to the parking lights, and then turn off the engine, the car "dings" at you to remind you the lights are on. If teh lights turnd off automatically, why aould the car remind you that they're on?

There is no way to have the parking lights be automatic right now. Only the lights in "auto" position is automatic on/off, not the angel eyes.

Illegal to drive with just the Angel Eyes (and parking lamps) on? Do you guys mean that it is illegal to drive with just these on at night, or any time? I can't imagine that it is illegal to drive with just these on in broad daylight.
I will continue to do it whether it is illegal or not, but please clarify.... thanks |

I don't think you would get a ticket for using angel eyes during the day. I would suggest turning on the xenons at night just for your own safety
I don't think there is any automatic way to turn them off when the know is in parking lights.

Only at night can it be illegal. Parking lights or angel eyes during the day is fine. I do it all the time.

California Vehicle Code 24800: Driving with just parking lights on is illegal.
It's been like this as far back as I can remember. |

i think that if you are driving at dawn when you are supposed to turn your headlights on and you only turn you 'angel lights, then you might get a ticket. But if its in the midlle of the day we shouldnt worry about it. I am sure cops are too busy with other more sirius things.

I think if a feature is OEM from a manufacturer it tends to trump laws like that. For example, SUV's with dark rear tints from the factory. Most of those are darker than what is allowed here in Ohio, but due to the fact that is a factory feature, the law grants a concession (I don't know the technicalities behind it though) |
