Got any pics of yours while it was getting done?
Sound clips?
Unfortunately, I don't but I will try to get some once I replace my resonator with an x pipe, something e92s don't have. This makes it sound even better but I'm very happy with the results thus far.

Just got mine on today......best damn mod I've done in a while!!! Absolutely love the sound....it's perfectly tuned.

Some guys cut shit out and pull the stock mufflers apart, hey....that's okay if you're on a budget, but there is simply no comparison side by side to how this looks and sounds. I got mine for $1100. Happy as fcuk

I also did the golf tee exhaust by unplugging the plug in the trunk. so its a sound throatty sound around 2.5k rpm zero drone!
Did you only remove the packing on the outer side that was replaced by a straight pipe and left the inner side with perforation with packing?

Oh hell yeah! The sound is intoxicating! Side by side with the cut oem muffler and there is no comparison. I love it.

Was the cut muffler an e90 or e92? did they change the tips? as we all know different tips change the sound of the exhaust and if its an e90 they were supposed to change the resonators to an Xpipe. Also, were they both n55?
You're the first member who has actually compared the two side by side that's why I'm wondering. All the other members have heard both in different instances and would argue that the sound is replicated 95% the same although they are not audiophiles. This is because its physically, essentially the same system after those changes, as we saw when a member cut his open for us.

Got mine installed Friday and couldn't be happier. I predict some chilly winter driving next season as I just can't seem to keep my windows rolled up with this exhaust!

Both e92 rwd, stock tips on the modded muffler, stock dp, both n55, same year. Not sure how the mod was done but it was done exactly like how the thread in here said to do it. Don't know the particulars. The mufflers look better, the tips look better, and the perf sounds incredible.

Here's the deciding factor for me, my car is cpo so imagine rolling into the dealer with a hacked up stock muffler....lol. Dealer would be skeptical as hell. Now if you have an invoice sheet and actually BMW part numbers for a oem mod, you will never have issues.

I see, I do have to agree that it looks better but I still have a hard time understanding the different in sounds, I'll ask around for someone who has a PE on the next meet. I see your point about the dealer though, I'm not too worried about what the dealer would think, I don't have a cpo but have warranty and maintenance until 100K, the welds were done on the top so unless they take the muffler off they would never see them, they also need proof that whatever the problem is, was caused by the mod. I'm more concerned about cobb but there are still ways around it. I'm glad you are happy with your purchase as I am with him, cheers!

The COBB which I also just recently got is definitely the least of my worries, uninstall takes a couple minutes and your good to go. You just have to use the stages corresponding to your mods. That's about it. It's a relatively mild tune. Most stack it with PPK or actually jb4

Absolutely none. Buy from one of the BMW dealerships on eBay - El Cajon and New Jersey sell there. The place I got mine were awesome.

Was looking forward to ordering an exhaust for my n55 E90, but the recent group buy thread had to close suddenly without a word...

It's loud mate. Apparently for non XI there's a bit of drone. But it's aggressive sounding
