Might be Single Soon if Anyone is Interested

No, this isn't one of those threads to disappoint some of you, so hold off on the jokes.

So it seems I may be having turbo problems after a long weekend of working on the ole 335. Did boost test from the hot side IC, no boost leaks, changed my boost solenoids and wastegate vac lines. I'm getting a decently loud whine with decreased performance but no smoke.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the single turbo kit from Vishnu. I'm hoping that Shiv and I get to talk sometime today in regard to the process and possible pitfalls due to my car being an xi.

That discussion wouldn't come till later down the road but probably under 10K being that I am fbo and some of the mods will carry over to the single kit.

I wouldn't call it a plunge yet, more like sticking my toe in the water.

We just spoke on the phone and since they haven't had an xi to poke around on yet they aren't sure about the space restrictions with the additional up front components of the xi.

He gave me some pointers to help fix my car and if that doesn't work, I told him we'd be talking again next week to talk possible single turbo logistics.

Well guys, no luck, I found the problem with my car. My front actuator became disconnected from the wastegate, so essentially I was running on 1 turbo. Now that it is connected I took it out for a drive and it runs fantastic again.

So for the time being I am happy with how my car runs now and the single turbo will have to wait.

Sorry to get anyones hopes up but I was dead set on this if my turbos were actually shot.

Nah, when I talked to shiv that isn't one of their concerns.

It all has to do with space in front with the additional parts and they won't know until they see an xi in house.
