Halo won't light

My driver side halo will not light. The bulb is perfect but I replaced it with a gp thunder anyways and still nothing. Any ideas? I'm still trying to get my MacBook setup or I would try scanning the car.

Also, the headlight cap has some broken tabs, where could I find a replacement?

Try an auto wreaker or just dealer, can't imagine one of those caps is over 15 bucks.

I would check the wires powering the halos for a proper connection & current. If you have a test light or multimeter you can find out pretty quick. You can get a decent multimeter for like 20 bucks

Also was it working before you swapped the OEM bulb to the gp thunder?

It wasn't working, and wouldn't the light bulb pretty much be the same thing as a test light?

To some degree, but a test light or better a multimeter can tell you which wire has a broken connection; power, ground, or both.

Ie one end of the test light on the power supply, the other on a chassis ground. If it lights you know the wire supplying power is fine and chances are the other wire is the issue. Alternatively one end of the test light on the power for your low beam or another moderate power source and the other end on the AE bulb ground wire. Just keep in mind the power source being used, going right off the battery will potentially blow a fuse for example, or worse damage the system if the fuse is on the power supply not the ground wire.

With a multimeter you can do the same but it will give u more info like how many volts are being supplied to the bulb, and how much resistance the grounding wire has.

You could try that but if your other halo is working I doubt it's a coding issue. I'm no expert on coding but when I did the coding for my AE's there were no left vs right values I could find. I could be wrong though, it's worth trying at least. Let us know how it goes!
