New addition to the family...

For all you puppy lovers

We brought a dog about 8 weeks ago he is a German Short Haired Pointer called Ben he is 19 weeks old this week me and the miswah adore him. Got some pics of him in the snow at the weekend.

I agree with that, what amazes me is how affectionate he is. He was the last one left and we had to have him as soon as we saw him. His Dad was beautiful and he was a proper Gun dog that went hunting everyday.

Lovely pup, and also agree on the great quality snaps! What camera did you use as they are pin sharp.

My wife also treated herself to yet another. 4 months old called "Jinks"

Very nice. I know some so called photographers who would struggle to take shots like that using a 1D.

Pointers-great dogs-very instinctive and very clever.I've a vizsla-trained him early doors and so far, have had 11 brilliant years from him.
Couldn't see from the pics, but looked like his tail is docked, which stands to reason, you saying he was from working stock-enjoy!

Yea they are great my in-laws have got 2 a boy and a girl. yes his tale is docked all done properly by the vet because he was from a working family, when we went to pick him up we saw his dad, mum, auntie and grandma!

He has a full pedigree with show winners in the lines and guess how much we paid?!?! £350 because he was 11 weeks old and all the girls had gone 3 weeks before. They had 3 people ring up to go and see him and then cancel/not turn up so were lucky really!

Wow-result all around!my ma has a long haired pointer, rescue dog and she is great, if a bit mad.
My vizsla has a docked tail and I much prefer the lines and it's so much more practical when they're out and about working.
When they point for the first time and start to realise what their noses are for, it's a fantastic thing to watch.
