Should I purchase this 06 325i for $5k?
Long time lurker here who used to own an E46...
So my aunt is selling her 2006 325i to me for cheap. She bought a new car and no longer needs her E90. Complete records and recently (12/15) had a $800 service done from a local BMW dealership which included the following: Oil Change Micro Filter Change Brake and Coolant Fluid Change A quick browse on the records showed the following as well: Water Pump replaced under warranty 10k miles Tires and Battery replaced 2013 Brakes and Rotors all 4 done December 2014 Engine Air Filter done at 43K Regular maintenance was done with dealership as well. Car came with a five year maintenance program. Car runs very well with no visible leaks. Door handles were done under warranty and minor mechanical fixes were done under warranty while the car was still new. Should I jump on this deal? Don't really need a third car but I think that this is a good price of which I can turn it around if ever something goes wrong, hoping just to break even. Noticed front door speaker grill is popping off.....Do I need a new cover? Door panel has to be removed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Looks clean. My dad has the same car and it's been extremely reliable.
5k is a good price but up to you if you really need a third car. I'd pass on it if I didn't need it |

My 16 year old daughter will be driving in a year or two. I was thinking instead of buying a used japanese car at a similar price, this would be a great learning car. |

No brainer, I would buy it, you can easily sell it for 4-5k even after putting 40-50k miles on it. Car seems to be in excellent condition. Just get it double checked by a experience mechanics as these body style cars are know to have valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, etc leaks, other than that you should be good to go. I'm recently getting these two leaks repaired and looking at around $800.

Buy it but also set money aside for repairs.

I'd go for it.
If you get a tune like Active Autowerke, it'll bump it up the 15ish HP and torque and turn it into a 328. The difference is worth it, since the only difference from the 325 to the 328 is the tune from the factory. |

I'll be blunt. You'd be an idiot not to buy it.
