How much will cost DMF

Hi guys, my car suffers from clutch judder and its getting annoying now.
I know it will cost me fortune to replace DMF, does anyone replaced DualMassFlywheel not at main dealer, how much roughly it will cost.
I have RAC warranty - will it cover repair?

Why do you think its the Flywheel? An OE one is not far off a grand to buy new.

They should be good for life unless the friction plate gets worn to the rivets.

There's a few posts on here about cleaning up the flywheel, mainly by slipping the clutch when accelerating to burn of the friction material that gets stuck on the flywheel face and causes juddering.

Worked on my 330i a treat.

Is it acutally slipping with your foot OFF the pedal?

Or is it just juddering as you engage the clutch pulling away?

Seems strange as after mway journeys the clutch should be fairly cool due to lack of use.

it does judder when i engage to pull away, for example trying to park car after mway journey
Today car was absoulutly fine no judder or clutch slipping at all, even on hill start no problems.
i had quote today from bmw specialist £320 for clutch fitted or £800 clutch and flywheel. They adviced me to drive for couple week more see if problem will get worser.

There has been a lot of posts here with this kind of problem. People are suggestion the CDV. It is a valve designed to slow the rate the clutch moves. You can fit a larger one apparently or remove it I think. Sorry I don't know more, have an auto so not read closely.
