under rear seat...what is this wiring harness for??
so i removed the bottom rear seat for cleaning.... underneath on the rear passenger side is a connector going to nothing. i know the cars are prewired for options, im really curious if anyone knows.
also under the felt pad which is under the seat are two 6 inch circular cutouts with wires going to them too. this is under the rear seats also, are they speakers? fuel tank related? |

these wires are thin. nothing at all like something you would run to a battery. its just a connector going nowhere right under the rear passenger's ass. little 1/2 inch connector.

Ohh wait nvm I just noticed you said rear seat. It's a battery disconnect that BMW uses when transporting you car...prevents discharge while in transit.
