Question Retrofitting LCI angel eyes to pre LCI E92?

Does anybody know if that would be possible?

I want to take the headlight "glass" off (like they do then they install OSS LEDs) and take the angel eyes from the E92 LCI. Does it sound crasy?

I HAVEN'T bought any extra headlights yet and I'm asking because I don't know how the LCI headlight looks inside.

Does any of you have a picture of the LCI headlight like thisone for the pre-LCI?

OSS will probably be cheaper and still look better.

Wouldn't this require buying an entire new set of LCI headlights?

I'm running with Lux H8 LED bulbs. Pricey but alot better than getting new headlights. They're pretty bright and pure white. I haven't seen the LCI e92 headlights so I can't compare.

+1. Exactly why OSS will end up being cheaper.

Sometimes when they are done testing they part out the parts in Germany so I'll PROBABLY be able to find the LCI headlights cheap. But if somebody already knows that it's not possible to retrofit it, then I won't do it of course.

Have any of you seen the OSS IRL? Are they bright enough for use as DRL?

They're pretty bright but look more defined in real life:

Can't we just buy the LCI bulb and see if that works? Probably not, but we'll find out soon enough.

The only thing I noticed with the OSS leds is that they are not pure white. They look rather bluish/purple which I do not like.

I don't think that pre-LCI and LCI headligt is made the same way. So I don't think that we can just take a bulb from the LCI.

Not without an exorbitant amount of work.

I doubt that anyone would purchase a new set of complete headlamps to cannibalize the AE sources only.
