BMW Performance Suspension Installed!!

Many thanks to Adam for installing my suspension this week! You can tell that he has done this many times as it was fast and smooth with no issues...other than not being able to find his cordless light. Took only three hours...when you have a setup as awesome at he has there makes life easy.

To the suspension...to sum it up I LOVE IT!

Looks:
I am not into the slammed or tucked look so I wanted something that would drop the Denver like height on my non-sport suspension but not be crazy low. I had see pics of this kit on other cars on the forum and it seemed like it maintained the significantly larger gap on the front vs. rear. To try and offset this I went with lowering perches on the front. My only complaint is that the front still needs to be a half inch lower.

Performance:
I am super happy with the way this kit performs. After driving it for a few days, maybe 250 miles, I can that it seems this was the right upgrade for me. There is little understeer, it is not floaty but well grounded, and has little roll. As I become more comfortable with it and push it more we'll have to see if this is still my experience. I did take it through Loch Raven and out Harford road which I am very familiar with from growing up out that way and was amazed at the balance.

One of the things some others have described it as harsh and crashy...I don't think that either of these describe the ride properly at all. It is firm on bumpy roads for sure but by no means is it bad but what you would expect from a performance suspension. On the high way it was just about as comfortable as my non-sport Cadillac ride.

Over all for the cost...it's worth every penny.

Awesome! I've got it and love it just as much. I think it's a great OEM option. Do you have an LSD? The two great together.

No LSD, I'm not sure it's worth it for me. And there are other upgrades that I'd need to do first.

I love it. Too bad I wasn't made aware of the build. I'd love to have helped out!

We met at Adam's a few weeks ago...I'm in Urbana actually. We need to link up when your back is better and go for a ride out west of Frederick. Need to get a ride in your car to experience meth first hand!

Yes, thanks for the reminder. I remembered your real name, but didn't know the screen name.

For others, I remember the screen name and forget their real name.

Hell, I can't even remember my own name half of the time.

Craig, looks like it has settled to a nice height for you. I would like to ride in it next time your out to compare to other systems I have installed. People ask me all the time what I recommend and I just give them this.... I need to sample more of my work!
