Refurb mv4's or 313 reps
So my mv4's are in need of a refurb. The front drivers side is particularly bad with the lacquer coming off from where the wheel has been curbed (by the previous owner!). The wheels currently have the run flats on them and I've been keen to change the tyres since I bought the car, not only to improve the ride but to reduce the chance of the wheels cracking. Now my thoughts are either to refurb the wheels and replace the tyres in the new year or perhaps sell the wheels and tyres while they still have life in them to someone who want to upgrade to 19's or have a 2nd set for winters, and then buy some 313 reps with non run flats.
If I keep the mv4's I'm also considering a set of spacers to help fill the arches a bit more. I just think they help improve the look of the car. Only 10-12mm perhaps. So costs to refurb....£70 a wheel perhaps? Set of spacers £100. Decent non fun flats all round £700?-£800? I haven't priced these up so I might be miles out! How much for a set of 313 reps with tyres? Am I better with original mv4's in terms of selling car on? Ay other thoughts or considerations?

Personally I wouldn't buy a car with replica wheels and if I did, the price would need to be adjusted by quite some margin.
Replica 313 wheels can be bought for £450 for a set and genuine 19" BMW wheels usually cost more than £500 each. |

313 reps, ET35 all round - £495.00
http://www.********.com/index.php?ro...&product_id=88 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's 2 x 235/35/19 - £269.90 2 x 265/30/19 - £339.90 No spacers required http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b758s24...5_19_235_35R19 http://www.camskill.co.uk/m55b758s34...0_19_265_30R19 Total £1104.80 + delivery of tyres + fitting I wouldn't sell the MV4's (unless you have to,to fund the 313's), take them off & store them until you come to sell. Selling a car with reps on is always going to put you at a disadvantage imo.

I would rather have a decent set of reps over genuine BMW alloys

I'm in the very same position, my 225's need a good working over, Leppsons want £400 to do a complete job on them, however you can get some 313 or csl reps for £495

Never seen a set of decent 313 reps. They seem to look cheap and odd.
Refurb yours or get some OEM 313's?!
