Anyone done a stud/ lug conversion??

After visiting a recent show fancy a stud conversion and seen a few cool lug/ nuts.

Ignore the colours but you get the jist. Fancy a bit of stud poking out and a nice set of lugs.

Bought these on a wim. Not sure if will use ( may be ott), may go for same style in red.

Anyone done this or advise on best studs, sizes, installation?

It's ironic that 30 years ago 99% of cars had studs & a bolt conversion would've been quite cool - but that's progress

Ha, you're right. I think regardless of what it is, cars, clothes, modifications, a time comes when people run out of ideas and something from a few years back gets tweaked and becomes cool again!

Cool,you say!

It's bad enough having people say our cars sound like tractors, making them look like one is a step too far

Sorry NJ,but for this old fart, rusty studs poking out from a brightly coloured nut looks far from cool on a BMW,especially one as nicely modded as yours.

They look awful sticking out like that. Rough and unfinished I think is a fair description.

Can you not get some nuts with a nice finish that stand out a bit more?
