Probably some profit in Yell at it's current price but it will be a small profit, it could be a long wait and I'd imagine it would turn quickly and eventually the company will be no more. Not the game for me and I can see a lot of PIs losing big eventually.

XEL is infuriating. Every bit of news is regarded (or treated) as bad news by the market. Hopefully it turns around when the oil starts flowing in the not too distant.

OPHR has been great, do you see a top or exit point with this? I really regret not getting on it when you first mentioned it. I clearly remember thinking about it at low £3s then again when it took a slight dip back to £4 last month. You live and learn I suppose.

OPHR have a fully funded drilling program for the next 20 months there are also only 360 million shares in issue. With this in mind I am holding for at least 2 years or until the company is taken over in which case I will review.

So vodafone have put a £1billion bid for Cable and Wireless, would this appear to be a good time to invest in CW.L shares then?

Nope last week was the time to invest.

On a different note.

GKP finally going up
Getting pee'd off watching Ophir go up relentlessly, I missed the boat on that one.

Anyone dabble with BOR? - caught the rise late on weds and sold friday which was nice, and just chucked the cash at BARC and SPG (Supergroup) today

Anyone got anything new on the radar?

It's an awful market lately thanks to the Eurozone debacle, everything is very difficult to call, sitting on a paper loss on BP and ENRC. Can't believe BP has gone down so much. Anyway, at least GKP has gone back up for now. My holding is close to 10000 shares now, and adding a few more when I can. Let's hope there is a fairy tale ending here the latest is very encouraging.

Shite....., in fact, worse than shite, it's bollocks. A sea of red, and it looks like I will be stacking shelves in Asda until I pop my clogs unless GKP SP miraculously turns around in a generally northerly direction (and keeps going).

Down about £15k from the recent highs but it's not specific to just my account, the whole market is being battered.

Seen it all before and will ride out the storm as usual, it may take a week or it may take months either way I am not going to lose any sleep.

XEL is looking attractive at the moment though LOL

I'm keeping my fingers crossed - I've not lost much (mostly because I don't have very many!) but it would still be nice to get it back.

Still in. I stopped looking at it when it went below 200p. Today made me very happy but I'm still down and got a long way to go before profit. I'll continue to hold until (if) I ever see profit. Mainly because if I take the money out I'll just piss it up the wall on another daft car.
