My car is stock, and I just got the OE tuner in the mail - we'll see if it's exaggerated or not. But from what that dyno posted says, it looks like those gains are due to timing changes, and not to the VTC system - does this have the ability to alter cam angles/lift profiles?

As far as I understand, this won't have an off-the-shelf tune for a 325i with 3-stage manifold for now. If I bought now to get in at$395, is it safe to assume that an off-the-shelf tune for 325i's "converting" to 330i's will be provided?

Shouldn't be too long. Id like to provide map support for all the various msd80 roms first. Once that is the case, I'll start the same with msv70.

Hi guys,
We just added a 328i section on our website. And the OFT is now for sale. We start shipping Jan 3rd. For the first few weeks (or until we collect copies of all the different ROM types), it's going to be like this:

- Customer receives OFT
- Customer installs it and read the stock ECU ROM
- Customer emails that stock ROM to us
- We email them back several tuned version of that ROM (91oct, 93oct, test pipe code disabled, etc,.)
- The load all the tuned ROMs into the OFT and run which ever one they want.

The OFT now holds 5 tuned files (+ your original stock ROM). For this non-turbo application, we have replaced the datalogging channels for Target boost and Boost with Mass Airflow k/hr and Relative Load %. This should be mores useful for self tuners.

The baseline maps will be conservative but the results should be quite obvious. Big smoothening out of WOT performance in the midrange where the stock tune (and every other aftermarket tune) still runs 15:1 AFR. Now it will run comfortably rich with more advance and more torque. Rev limits have been raised to 7200RPM. Torque limits bumped up as well. Timing maps have been massaged (not just raised by +3 deg everywhere as I have seen on other tunes). Speed limiter has been raised as well. Don't expect the massive gains that we get on the twin turbo N54 of course. But the good news is that you can eventually move this over to an n54 if ever get one in the future. All it will take is a firmware update that we can do remotely (for free).

We have another OFT website that we recently launched that has more info and some more pics. We will slowly be bringing over our BMW content over to there as well since it's a bit more modern looking than the old www.procedetuning.com. Check it out at www.openflashtablet.com

If you don't want the rev limits raised could you post a guide on how to modify this before flashing?

The firmware for the N54 and N52 open flash tablets will be different? Meaning in order to interchange them you will need to be contacted first? Would it be possible to post the different firmware versions on the site?

Hi guys, sale ends as soon as we enhance the data logging function (13 fixed channels -> 30 user selected channels). We start that job on Jan 2nd. After that all BMW OFTs will be $495 (same as FRS/BRZ).

Yes of course. All updates are automatic through wifi enabled laptop software. And all free.
